When It Comes To Climate Change, What Do You Believe?

DJnbp0DVwAAqk7VHere’s a video on climate change, featuring EPA administrator Scott Pruitt’s remarks that it’s inappropriate to talk about the connection between climate change and natural disasters like hurricanes.  Pruitt, of course, is a climate denier.  The video concludes, “What do you believe?”

What do I believe? Who on Earth would believe thousands of climate scientists when their studies contradict Scott Pruitt, a poli-sci major whose life’s work and personal fortune is rooted in attacking the EPA on behalf of the oil companies?

He’s obviously both authoritative and uncorruptable.

Don’t ask stupid questions.

Personally, I think it was highly inappropriate for DT to appoint Pruitt to the position. Obviously, DT and I have different criteria for judging appropriateness.

You nailed it; it’s a matter of how one defines “inappropriate.” If you’re on Trump’s mission, wrecking the progress that humankind has made in the direction of environmental responsibility (and healthcare, public education, banking regulation so as to protect ourselves against another 2008), rights of women and minorities, etc., appointing Pruitt wasn’t just “appropriate”; it was absolutely perfect. Kudos to the quintessentially suppressive human being who leads our formerly great country.
