Breakthrough in Carbon Capture and Sequestration?

I like to take my own advice on the use of social media and spend some time blogging on other sites related to clean energy.  To that end, I just commented on an article that presented an ostensible breakthrough in carbon capture and sequestration in TheEnergyCollective.  In response to a slam against environmentalists, I wrote:

Interesting discussion here.  People of conscience are by definition environmentalists, or, to put it another way, if you’re not an environmentalist, you’re not a person of conscience. Having said that, I would think all environmentalists would be thrilled to burn coal if there were literally no issue with the CO2 (and SO2, NOx, Hg, Cd, Pb, etc.) The issue really is how near we are to that point, both technologically and economically.  Though I’d love to believe otherwise, I’m skeptical that we’re anywhere close.  

This, of course, is the issue driving the debate on the validity of electric transportation, as discussed here.
