Tipping Point for Wind Energy

Now, even the cost issue has evaporated.
One of the key chapters in my new book is about cheap wind, and how market economics will soon make the case against fossil fuels airtight. Power purchase agreements for wind energy in the U.S. are being signed at $0.02/kWh. And here’s an article in phys.org that points out that the levelized cost of energy for a certain wind farm in Australia is just over half (56%) that of coal.
It’s data points like these that lead me to declare an early victory for renewables. People seem to forget that when a tipping point like this is reached, things change very quickly.
