Scientists: Earth Endangered by New Strain of Fact-Resistant Humans
Here’s a fantastic piece in the New Yorker. There are probably 20 posts here related to the bizarre repulsion for science maintained by the common American, but none handles it with panache like this.
That NY article is a very good one. In addition to presenting facts, it presents them in a very gripping manner with an analogy that makes the subject easier to understand.

One is a cynical attack while the other explores a mindset, an understanding and suggests a path to a different future.
