Korean Giant LG Shooting Video at Solar Power International

Here’s a quick note to report that I did two on-camera interviews at the Solar Power International show today—both within the span of less than 30 minutes.  The second of the two, which I did for the Korean titan LG, was the more interesting, in that an extremely bright LG rep off-camera was firing questions at me for at least five minutes on the drivers I perceive that lie behind the rapid migration to renewables.

This, of course, is the ultimate “softball”—and it’s made even better insofar as it’s an opportunity to go into my most recent book, Bullish on Renewable Energy, which makes the point that the rapid migration to renewables is being driven largely by pure market economics.  Of course, I was also happy to carry on at length about how the commitment to the industry from a company with the stature of LG is critically important to success—especially in an environment in which the prices of solar are so volatile, and smaller companies have gone by the wayside.
