Take a Minute and Get Some Space

I hope you’ll take a few minutes out of your busy day to take a journey, one not measured in the miles required to take the kids to school or to get to work, but one of millions of light-years, required to get out and look at some of the more spectacular galaxies visible from Earth via our Hubble telescope.

It might be the perfect remedy if you, like me, sometimes harbor the erroneous idea that Trump’s asinine presidency is the biggest thing that’s ever happened in the universe.

At a more mundane level, it may also cause you to think about NASA’s budget, which has sustained some pretty sizable cuts, including its entire education program, which is responsible for outreach and grants, meaning that students and the science community are deprived of the space agency’s expertise.
