Solar Activity and Climate Change
An old friend (possibly an old ex-friend, if he reads this) who works as a building contractor forwarded this gem, an article suggesting that solar (as opposed to human) activity is the cause of global warming. Of course, this has been thoroughly debunked over the years, though one can’t expect every building contractor, baseball coach or stay-at-home mom to know this.
One could ask why a building contractor who lacks the remotest bit of training/education in this subject would promote an article calling into question the finding of the vast majority of scientists whose life’s work is researching this subject, but I don’t have a good answer to that one.
Below is a terrific video for anyone understanding the truth about climate change. Among other things, you’ll learn exactly why the idea that global warming is caused by an increase in solar activity is complete crap.
The organization that made this, “Veritasium” (“an element of truth” — clever, don’t you think? ) does videos on dozens of different topics in physics, all excellent IMO.
