U.S. Participation in the Paris Accord on Climate Change Mitigation Will Survive Donald Trump

In many cases, my rants on the damage being wreaked by the Trump administration are met with these reassuring words from friends and colleagues: Calm down, Craig. Trump’s power to destroy our civilization is far more limited than you think.

Of course, they’re right–and here’s a prime example.  It appears that he’s powerless to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Accord until 2021.  He’ll have to be re-elected to actually make this happen.  That doesn’t look too probable, at least at this point.  Many people think it will require a miracle if he’s to see the end of his four-year term.  From their lips to God’s ears.
