Climate Change Mitigation and the U.S. Justice System

If you were being tried in a criminal matter, you’d probably want your mother to be the judge hearing the case.  Of course, the justice system would laugh your defense attorney out of the court room if he made such a request.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening with the U.S. judiciary when it comes to the regulation of the fossil fuel industry so as to mitigate climate change.  It’s really not too much less ridiculous than the fanciful case hypothesized above.
