What on earth is special about a public transport app in Vienna? Nearly every major city in the world, including the US has had such technology for years.
As for Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Oslo, these are historically very small cities in both population and area. The urban populations live in historically dense urban areas with flat land and have always favoured bicycles as a means of transport.
The examples of these cities are not applicable to the rest of Europe and certainly not to the vast sprawling metropolises of America.
