Bernie Will Not Improve Life for Literally Everone

The claim in the meme here is that everyone will have a better quality of life if this country shifts in the direction of democratic socialism.  If that were the case, we’d already be there.  The problem is that this isn’t true.

Here is a list of groups of those who will come out far behind, with a guess as to what percentage of American voters they apply to:

The super rich (high net-worth, high income, those with huge holdings in corporations that benefit from financial or environment deregulation)–5%

Warmongers and the military-industrial complex–5%

Hardcore white nationalists, xenophobes, Islamaphobes, sexists, sadists, and homophobes–10%

Climate change deniers–2%

Those who support Israeli war crimes against the Palestinians–1%

White people who work as restaurant bus boys, row-crop harvesters, and feel that their jobs are threatened–0.00%

That’s a total of 23%, but these categories overlap, so let’s say the total is 15%.  The problem is that it includes billionaires, who tend to get what they want.
