Good News! Director of the National Economic Council Declares Coronavirus “Contained”

From Politico: White House National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow said Tuesday that the U.S. has “contained” the threat of a domestic coronavirus outbreak, breaking with the warnings of officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “We have contained this, I won’t say airtight but pretty close to airtight,” Kudlow told CNBC’s Kelly Evans on Tuesday afternoon.

Of course, this is completely at odds with what our top epidemiologists at the CDC are telling us, but why would we listen to them when we have a guy who majored in history, with no scientific training, to guide us through these difficult times?

I understand that he wants to stave off the panic that is pulling the floor away from the stock market, but he should consider doing it with his mouth shut.  Making asinine and completely untrue statements only serves to make him look like the jackass he is, while pushing this in the wrong direction.
