Rocky Mountain Institute and the Government of The Bahamas

The Rocky Mountain Institute was featured on last Sunday’s edition of CBS’s “60 Minutes,” which featured a discussion of how RMI will work with the government of The Bahamas to implement microgrids to improve resilience in this and other island economies as they recover from hurricanes.

Since the segment was only about 15 minutes long, it was fairly “surface level,” but presented a few important ideas as to how island nations suffering from the effects of climate change can restore critical services and transition to resilient energy systems that are equitable, low cost, clean, and local.  Nice job.
