Harvard, MIT Sue Trump Admin Over Student Visas

The Trump Administration has pulled the student visas from everyone whose classes are entirely taught online.  If implemented, this would send thousands of our nation’s brightest young people out of the country.

There are precisely two elements of reason that may lie behind the decision:

1) Pandering to xenophobia of Trump’s core base of hateful and ignorant people, and/or

2) Causing chaos for our nation’s institutions of higher education. While this may appear inconceivable at first glimpse, keep in mind that the far right wing believes that a college education does more harm than good, insofar as it tends to turn out liberals.

In any case, it would be good if more learning institutions joined the suit, or initiated their own.
