The Carbon Footprint of Washing Dishes

Those wishing to lower the carbon footprint associated with dish washing may be amused by this video on the Mini Portable Washing Machine.

As they promote their product: Mini Portable washing machine can wash deli, also clean jewelry, glasses, fruits & vegetables!

A couple of points:

• We don’t wash our fruits and vegetables with dishwashing liquid and what is essentially a high-powered  immersion blender.

• When you watch the video, and see all that high-velocity soapy water, is it at all conceivable that every dish and glass won’t be broken to smithereens?
