Human Civilization Actually IS Affecting the Planet

Occasionally we hear people make the claim that the Earth is so massive that it’s impossible for humankind to have any significant effect on it.

If we had heard this 100 years ago, I think most people would have agreed.  But now, that assertion is so idiotic that it sounds like it must have come from the climate deniers in the senate, like James Inhofe (R-OK)  who introduced a snowball as evidence that it’s cold outside and that global warming must be a hoax.
