Republican Senator and Professional Liar Ron Johnson: Big Lie Is Just That

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) is getting a lot of ink recently for outrageous statements on the January 6th insurrection (it was a “peaceful protest,” like a “normal tourist visit”) and his promotion of hydroxychloroquine against the virus, the same drug Trump enthusiastically endorsed, even though US Food and Drug revoked an emergency use authorization because of the cardiac issues it was causing.

All this pales in comparison to the statements he made to a woman he believed to be a Trump supporter who was asserting the election was stolen. Check out this video:

“There’s nothing obviously skewed about the results,” Johnson said in a video taken by activist Lauren Windsor, who pretended to be a Republican. “If all the Republicans voted for Trump the way they voted for the Assembly candidates, he [Trump] would have won. He didn’t get 51,000 votes that other Republicans got, and that’s why he lost,” Johnson added.
