Here’s How Many Trump Supporters Are Showing Character, and No, I’m Not Kidding

It is true that many Trump supporters don’t vote their pocketbooks, but, when you think about it, that’s often a good thing, as it has the potential to show character.  There are rich people who vote for candidates who will raise taxes, simply because they want to live in a compassionate and intelligent country that offers things like universal healthcare, excellent education, a clean environment, social programs that keep kids out of trouble, and an overall sustainable society.

To be fair, the case of the rank and file Trump supporter is not altogether different.  These people believe, albeit incorrectly, that universal healthcare is socialism, and that giving it to all citizens is the first step towards Marxism.

Again, they are wrong; they aren’t bright enough to see what’s really going on in the world, and that the United States is the only country in the developed world that has people dying of curable diseases, simply because they can’t afford treatment.
