The Tiny God of MAGA Christians

Charismatic and free-thinking pastor John Pavlovitz writes: People deserve a God who is bigger than Franklin Graham’s and Marco Rubio’s and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s and the GOP’s God. Their God is small and terrified—and it suspiciously resembles them.

It would seem strange to anyone, even to the MAGA Christians, that God directs the entirety of His attention on this one planet, a speck of dust in the universe, that He loves straight American Republican white Christians, and supports all their political causes, while really having nothing but revulsion–at best, indifference–for everyone and everything else.

Moreover, ideas that run counter to theirs are thought to be the product of Satan himself.

As Pavlovitz says, you deserve better.
