Is This a Good Reason to Support Putin?

Most Americans would agree that the level of insanity of the Fox News talking points is increasing at an unchecked rate.  Yet the idea that we can support Putin in Ukraine because he hasn’t injured us personally sets a new bar for our most disgusting lack of any sort of moral integrity. 

Imagine you’re Putin, and the rest of the world is a bit rankled that you’re torturing and executing innocent men, women, and children, so as to terrorize a sovereign nation into surrendering to your authoritarian regime.

Then you wake up one morning to learn that, astoundingly, Tucker Carlson has your back.  Of course, you can’t understanding his reasoning, because it’s so deeply twisted, but what the hell.  You have a fine new, and extremely influential friend, just when you needed him most.

To my astonishment, my mother brought this up on a call I had with her the other day.  Here’s a well-educated woman of fine intelligence and personal integrity, and she’s coming at me with this trash from Fox News.

What a shame that so many otherwise decent American citizens are gulping this garbage down.
