Let’s Not Forget About Who Liz Cheney Really Is

There is no doubt that Liz Cheney’s star is rising, buoyed by the admiration she’s receiving for her honesty and bravery in the pursuit of justice following the coup attempt.  Yet progressives need to remind themselves that her politics are quite right-wing.  Not batshit crazy (Big Lie) right-wing, more “Reaganeque,” if you will.

If she’s elected in 2024, and if she’s supported by Congress, we will experience a return to the days of minimal government involvement in free markets.  That means things like environmental deregulation, and no hope for the diabetics who are dropping dead because they can’t afford insulin.

It’s a blend of stupidity and rank cruelty that this country really doesn’t need.
