Evangelicals Abandoning Trump? “He Used Us”

According to this piece, one key church member said, “He used us to win the White House. We had to close our mouths and eyes when he said things that horrified us,” he told the (Washington Post). “I cannot do that anymore.”

I’m skeptical.

Of course he used you; you’re just figuring this out now?

Also, you had to “close your mouths and eyes?”  Why?  What did you stand to lose by telling the truth, i.e., that Trump is a cold, calculating, godless criminal?
