Charging Your EV with Solar

There is no law that says you can’t do what Santa Claus on the left says he’s doing.  The challenge, however, is that a 1000 Watt solar PV array will take 16 days to charge the typical Tesla with its 100-KW-hour battery.  If that sounds like an appealing idea, go for it.
