What can I say? The dude has always been a bit on the pessimistic side.

The whole point of “Beyond Good and Evil” is that morality is a manmade contrivance, usually employed to support the weak against the strong.

I remember reading this as a young man, and I recall saying to myself, “Oh come on, man.  Can’t it be said that helping people lead better, happier lives is good, and that inflicting cruelty for its own sake is evil?”

I don’t believe for a second that politicians like Bernie Sanders are insincere in their concern for the American electorate.
