Ocean Current Energy

There is nothing new about this idea, and there is most certainly no “new research.” The density of air is so far below that of water that anybody could have told you that ocean current energy would have made a great deal of sense, were it not so expensive: installation, maintenance, the transfer of energy to the shore, etc.

Fifteen years ago, this concept held some promise, but now it’s lost its appeal to everyone but hobbyists.
