Taking Absurdity to the Next Level: Trump vs. Venezuela

Here’s the White House press secretary talking about how President Trump is taking on the drug cartels, to keep Americans safe from fentanyl.  “It was a promise the president made on the campaign trail, and he’s making good on it.”

If the U.S. were attacking Mexico, this might be vaguely credible.  But anyone who believes that our hostility against Venezuela is based on Trump’s dedication to halting the influx of drugs into this country is a true idiot.
