Decent (and Younger) People Are Leaving the United States

Filmmaker James Cameron says his family has permanently moved to New Zealand because it’s “sane” and “actually believes in science” compared to the US.

“They already had a 98% [Covid] vaccination rate. This is why I love New Zealand. People there are, for the most part, sane, as opposed to the United States.” Thoughts?

I applaud this, but leaving the United States was never an option for me. As a straight white male whose parents sacrificed greatly to ensure I got a good education, I was greeted with incredible business opportunities in the late 20th Century. I doubt these openings existed in places like New Zealand.

Also, our leaders in the 1980s and 1990s weren’t criminally insane.

Now that the United States has fallen to pieces, I’m too old to expatriate and leave my medical team in search of a new one.
