Telling the NRA to Kiss Off

In a post earlier today, Gunning Down Our Children, I wrote:  Change will come only when our congresspeople start to lose more votes from people who demand common sense gun laws than they receive from the gun nuts and the NRA.

What Kinzinger wrote here is a fabulous example.

Now, to be fair, even though Kinzinger is a Republican, his district is essentially suburban Chicago, home to well-educated and affluent people.  Telling the NRA to go kick rocks probably helped him politically.

Let’s hope a great number of our congresspeople follow his lead.
