Psychiatric Drugs and Gun Violence

As suggested at left, some folks believe that psychiatric drugs cause gun violence, reasoning that many shooters are, in fact, on such drugs.

Apparently it doesn’t occur to them that anyone who commits such a crime is mentally ill, and virtually all those who seek treatment for mental illness will be prescribed drugs (whether they are effective on not).

Thus there is a huge correlation between those on psychiatric drugs and those who commit acts of gun violence.

But if from that you infer that one causes the other, you’re simply are not too bright.
