Presidential Immunity and Our Right-Wing Supreme Court
The idea that Trump may escape justice via a U.S. Supreme Court decision to the effect that he is immune from criminal prosecution is on all Americans’ minds.
Absolutely terrifying.

Alarming thing is that such a decision on presidential immunity would pretty much leave “vigilantism based on the second amendment” as one of very few mechanisms for removing a rogue / criminal / treacherous president from office, or for holding such accountable. I fear that what little remains of US democracy after Citizens United enshrined the power of corporate greed to overrule the will of the people may be on shaky ground.
I agree. These are horrifying times here in the U.S.
