What Makes the U.S. SO Different than Mexico and Canada?

The answer to the question above seems to reside in the things that do and do not impress us.

We’re not impressed with intelligence, intellectual accomplishment, science, truth or the maintenance of good relationships with our allies.

We are impressed with riches (regardless of how immorally the wealth was acquired), the strength of bullies and cruelty to people who are too weak to defend themselves, the wanton destruction of international relationships, lavish promises that are impossible to keep and easily debunked, and bald-faced lies.
