It would be interesting to know if this is a direct reference to Donald Trump, a man who’s made a career out of ripping people off, and a wide variety of other forms of criminality.

I believe so.

It’s hard to have sympathy for those whom Trump has taken to the cleaners, given this is how Trump made his fortune.
