Moral Philosophy

Moral philosopher Peter Singer is probably best known as an animal rights advocate, and one who’s been at it for a very long time. I was reading his books when I was in college in the 1970s.  Turns out he’s only nine years older than I am.

The point he makes at left is a good one, but think about how far we are from this dream of his, especially here in the U.S.

Rationality would demand things like quality education, caring for our environment, and treating all people with respect and dignity. Now, these ideas are ridiculed as “woke,” and teachers who present them up in the classroom are subject to disciplinary measures.
