A Few Effects of Climate Change Are Good (Though I Don't Think the Polar Bear Pictured Here In the Arctic Ocean Is Too Keen on Hearing About Them)

The article points to another example of a positive effect: The melting of the arctic means cutting a ton of time and fuel from many shipping routes; e.g., the trip from Seoul to Rotterdam is now 4370 fewer miles than it was a few decades ago when the arctic was frozen. This means more profits for all concerned, including those corporations who products are causing the poles to melt in the first place. As readers will see, the author is more than a bit displeased with our civilization’s appalling approach to morality in the 21st Century; he certainly speaks for me.

There’s another thing about the melting of the ice in the polar caps: it’s clearing the way to “explore” (might I say INVADE) new territory for oil and gas exploration! That’s not good at all.
Profits is all they are interested in! Morality is lost, honesty is lost. Greed is on, it’s in, it’s all!
I agree: we should leave carbon where it is, don’t burn it anymore!
