Wind Energy Is Making a Huge Contribution

A conservative reader who has displayed a circumspect attitude towards renewable energy notes: Wind, Solar, Wave, Bio-fuels, Geo-thermal, and lots of other alternate energy technologies, are valid subjects for research.

I urge him to keep in mind that wind is already 5% of the U.S. grid mix; there are 370 gigawatts installed worldwide, with a CAGR of 16.2%. Denmark derives 40% of its energy from wind.  I would assert that it’s far beyond the “research” phase.
