Energy “Propaganda”

I mentioned earlier that Alex Cannera, the core participant in the on-going pro-nuke email thread I read, really doesn’t dig renewables, and feels compelled to take a swat at solar and wind at every available opportunity.  When someone else agreed with me and questioned his judgment on the validity of renewables, he wrote: 

What’s wrong with saying windmill’s pathetic, low CF performance, that typically requires gas backup, makes (little) sense when emissions are to be reduced and the environment protected?  Ditto for solar ‘farms’.  Craig, since you copied “entire audience,” ask them yourself. I don’t mind if people disagree on something.  But, when propagating it to others, we should expect to have the facts.  Otherwise we’re doing propaganda.

Here’s something I wrote on this the other day, in rebuttal to Alex.  I’m not sure how one could accurately refer to it as “propaganda,” and I certainly back up my assertions with facts.  Having said that, I guess that’s what some people call ideas that are at variance with their own.
