Despite COVID-19 Debacle, Trump Approval Rating Holding Fairly Steady

The United States has 4.29% of the world’s population, but more that 25% of its COVID-19 deaths.  Our death rate is higher as well (61,700 dead out of 188,700 resolved cases = 32.7% in U.S., vs. 228,000 dead out of 1,214,000 resolved cases = 18.8% worldwide).

Having said that, of course, Trump and his team can spin this as a success to about 40% of American voters who have consistently proven that they will refuse to blame Trump for anything, regardless of how glaring and egregious.

It is for this reason that there seems to be no floor to his approval rating.
