What’s Trump’s Plan?

If Trump weren’t so totally incompetent, we would all be wondering what his master plan is. However, after four years we’ve learned one thing above all others: there is no master plan. Just one ill-conceived outrage after another.

Being fair, it’s easy to see why he takes this tack, i.e., it’s what he’s done all his life, and it has never once failed him. 

Here, however, it’s going to require wresting control of the U.S. military from a huge team of generals and admirals who have each spent several decades of their lives in honorable service to the U.S. Constitution.  The moment it’s clear that Trump is breaking the law, thus committing treason, he will be arrested immediately, along with any other conspirators, for instance Bill Barr and Mike Pompeo.

It’s not that the United States has no experience deposing leaders we happen to dislike.  Not all of this is bad, of course, but we’re pretty damned adept at removing heads of state who pose us problems.

Go ask the people of Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Yemen, Libya, Syria–and all these are post-Cold War. Go back even further to the few decades between World War II and the fall of the USSR, and talk to some folks from Guatemala, Korea, Tibet, Cuba, British Guyana, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Chile, Angola, Poland, Nicaragua, Lebanon, El Salvador, and Grenada. All this happened in the last 75 years.

Have we had an internal issue like this?  Not since the Civil War, but this nonsense with Trump could easily result in the necessity to depose an attempted coup, and again, we’re the most experienced group of people in the known universe at dealing with things like this.

Even if it’s not the removal of the traitors at the top, it seems unavoidable that some blood will be spilled.  “As we speak,” there are tens of millions of heavily armed Trump supporters who believe a) there was massive voter fraud in the election, b) there is a conspiracy among liberals and the deep state to cover it up, c) it’s up to them to answer the call of the president and prevent the election from being “stolen.”
