Building a Compassionate Society

It would be great if there were more Tom Steyers (progressive billionaires) in the world and fewer Jeff Bezoses (selfish, abusive billionaires).

This, however, will not happen, chiefly due to the process of actually accumulating that  much wealth.  In the main, people become billionaires via a combination of the love of money and cold, hard aggression–the precise opposite characteristics to caring about the well-being of others.
