I Have a Bridge To Sell You

A spokesmen for the Kremlin was on Sunday morning television today, explaining that the Russian aggression, which became a threat to world peace only within the past few months, actually began with the re-unification of Germany more than 30 years ago. He never really got around to explaining why this is happening right now.

Let me advance another possible explanation, and I ask you to choose between the two propositions.

Alternative concept.  Putin’s installation of Trump in the White House crippled the United States in many different ways:

• Racial hatred / white nationalism

• Mishandled pandemic response

• Rising inequality / death of the middle class

• International disgrace / Trump a pariah on the world stage

• Harmful trade wars

• Most importantly: sedition / fall of democracy

If Biden can be discredited, there is a good chance that Trump will be reinstalled in 2024, enabling another four years of devastation.

Now, if you believe the guy from Moscow, I have a bridge to sell you.
