While driving your car to work is more or less the norm for a lot of people out there, this method has some major flaws that people are deliberately ignoring. First of all, it is probably the most expensive way to commute out there since the price of the fuel you have to pay for a day-to-day commute to work surpasses the price of any public transportation ticket out there. People say that Trump is so impetuous and unpredictable that he’s impossible to deal with. That may be true in certain cases, but certainly not in his energy policy, which is extremely consistent; it’s all about bringing back jobs in dead-end technologies, while attempting to kill their competition, i.e., renewable energy. In fact, it’s easier to question the sanity and moral soundness of people who see no imperative to change the reality of today’s world, i.e., that the greed of a few is destroying the environment and the quality of life for everyone else living on this planet, and all those yet to be born in the future. Well, since you asked, let’s start by boycotting their products and overturning Citizens United, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that enables them to buy our elections.
From there, let’s get rid of the new tax scam, from which they will save a mere $1.4 billion annually. Given that there are still 450,000 people in Puerto Rico without power four full months after Hurricane Maria, I’m guessing that the money could be put to good use.
