The first is the repeal of the Obama-era Clean Power Plan that subjects all forms of electricity generation to emission regulations, including greenhouse gases. Because of the toxins emitted from coal-fired power plants that would need to be scrubbed, this would make it difficult for coal to compete with natural gas, nuclear, and renewables. (more…)
