It’s an even sadder day when the President of the United States defies the court order, like he’s done so many times in the past, re: deportations, the deployment of the military against U.S. citizens, etc.

It sure will be nice when all this is over: the stupidity, the incompetence, the treason.

The author of the meme here nailed it.  Congressional Republicans know that what they’re doing is wrong: it’s immoral, it’s traitorous, and in many cases it’s illegal.  But their love of money and power keeps them completely silent.

Once Trump is deposed, get ready to see these maggots do whatever it takes to protect themselves, pretending that none of this ever happened.

To answer the question posed at the bottom here: No.

But starving the nation’s most vulnerable people is only one atrocity out of hundreds. Virtually every day we awaken to some horror that no one could have possibly foreseen.

Around the globe, many sane observers of the U.S. believe that Donald Trump wants to lead the United States into destruction: economically, morally, and intellectually, so that he can be the equivalent of what Putin is in Russia: a tyrant.

We all know that the average American is struggling right now, due to declining educational standards, reduced buying power, health/longevity, and living conditions.  But for those who may not know, Russians have far more pathetic lives than we do here in the States.

Putin could not care less about the wellbeing of his people, and, as most of us here know, neither does Trump.

Trump is just about to achieve his life-long dream: to con the stupidest of the American people into electing him to the position of the tyrant of the world’s (formerly) most powerful country.

Something else nice to be said about Costa Rica is that, because like most small countries it has no military, it can invest heavily in healthcare and education, making it an extremely popular place to which to expatriate.

In addition to the statement at left, the output of every process is the input for some other process, e.g. worms eating our dead bodies.

Regarding learning from nature, this is called biomimicry.  (Linked above are 15 posts on the subject.)

I hope readers will check out this report on cratering ticket sales at the Kennedy Center.

This comes as no surprise given that the Kennedy Center hosts things like theater, classical music, dance and opera. We already knew that sophisticated and intelligent people want nothing to do with Trump.

I guess if I were in a life-and-death struggle to save the Kennedy Center financially, I’d strongly consider installing a rodeo ring.

Seriously, I struggle to think of a single American institution that is not in the process of being destroyed by the wrecking ball that is Donald Trump.  Nothing is immune.

Some folks believe that Congress will not re-open until after the midterms, when, the GOP hopes, it has enough votes to prevent the Epstein files from being released.

There are people in our society who value and understand science, who believe that government needs to take care of those least able to care for themselves, who vote for Democrats–and who respect Trump supporters.  There is a word for these people: they are called saints.

We mere mortals have trouble respecting those whose moral values are twisted beyond recognition.
