Synthetic Fuels

1) The concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere is about 400 PPM, or about 0.04%, meaning that the other 99.96% is something else (mostly nitrogen). For this idea to have any merit, it needs point sources of CO2, e.g., coal plants or concrete manufacturing facilities, where concentrations are north of 30%.
2) The chemical reactions required for this concept are hugely endothermic, meaning that they need enormous quantities of energy; a solar panel is a million miles away from getting the job done.

The words of David Brooks at left certainly ring true.
All the while, it adds $2 – $4 trillion to the national debt.
Do our law enforcement officers who suffer casualties associated with defending our safety deserve compensation when they are injured? I’m not sure.
Of course it could. In fact, that’s precisely what we’ve been hearing since the early 1970s.
This sounds a bit improbable, doesn’t it?
