Apparently, there are parents of kindergarteners who believe their kids are receiving an indoctrination on the variety of sexual orientations and LGBTQ issues.

At left is some very good advice for them.

I’m confident that eating highly nutritious foods is a good idea. The concept that soil depletion,  monocropping, insecticides/herbicides, and chemical fertilizers have reduced the quality of our foods rings true to virtually all of us.

But I’m even more confident that pseudo-scientific bull**** like the meme here has no value in our world.

Here’s another good example of a point I made in a recent post, i.e., that Republicans care less about what government can do for them than what pain it can inflict on people they hate.

Alex Jones says, due the bankruptcy filing of his incredibly lucrative website Infowars, “I can barely pay my bills. Can’t even afford a bankruptcy attorney!”

I hope this is true, though I doubt it.  He was grossing more than $30 million per year, selling branded apparel and survivalist merchandise to angry idiots, and needless to say, here in the United States, that’s a huge target market.

It would be great if this source of ignorance and hate were driving into silence, but it’s hard to believe this is a done deal.

As we’re discussed many times over the years, the electrification of transportation is not an all-or-nothing proposition.

Passenger automobiles and light duty trucks are the low-hanging fruit.  But what about Class 8 trucks, cargo ships, and aircraft?

Well, as discussed here, this commuter airline will soon pump its last gallon of jet fuel.

Congratulations.

Exactly right, and the number of objects of Trump supporters’ hatred continues to grow; new categories of detestable people emerge continually.

Now, on top of Muslims, Jews, blacks, Asians, LGBTQs, immigrants, poor people, libtards, people of science, we have woke.

Moreover, “woke” doesn’t apply merely to individuals; it applies to groups, some of which are enormous, like the 203,000 employees at Disney and the 1.1 million active duty U.S. military personnel.  God only knows what they think of  the Reserves.

There is a sponsored post of Facebook that asks people to weigh in: Have you abandoned President Trump?  I’m sure there are damn few yeses.  You either despised the man from the moment you first heard him speak, or you’ll be with him forever.

What the author of the meme says here is completely true, which is why there is no indication whatsoever that Elon Musk wants to help America.

It’s clear that his primary motivation of restoring a megaphone to Trump and the other congenital liars who use social media as their platform for disinformation campaigns and hate speech, while blocking progressive voices.

From:

Robert Reich’s article “Elon Musk’s vision for the internet is dangerous nonsense”: (more…)

I wrote a post the other day to the effect that, in the face of all this stupidity and hate, there are areas in which our civilization is making great progress.  This gives us all room for hope.

What Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) says here is true poetry.  What if there really is an opportunity for an honest and helpful American government to come along and make the world a better place to live?

I consider myself fortunate that I have no access to Donald Trump’s private thoughts.  There are enough disgusting elements of our world today without adding more.

Having said that, I have to think that Trump, with his visceral hatred of his enemies, and his ongoing delusions that the American people consider him to be an honest and effective servant, had a complete psychotic break when he learned that Liz Cheney was awarded The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for “defending democracy at home and abroad.”

There is no question that Cheney, a Republican, is showing great bravery in going against the majority of her (spineless) party and seeking justice for the former president so as to prevent our democracy from being torn apart by a criminal conman.

Most Americans are very proud.

Marine Le Pen has made it clear that her politics are similar to those of Putin and Trump.  Exactly what that means she didn’t say, but what could she possibly mean?  Politically, what do these two men have in common?

Both are “strong men” in terms of will and refusal to back down under any condition, and they are ruthlessness–especially to perceived enemies, complete lack of compassion and interest in doing what’s right.  Putin is a tyrant, and Trump is a would-be Putin.

OK, anyone can see how that would work out in a place like Russia, where democracy has never existed.  But France?  A land of culture, intelligence, and refined sophistication that stands at the heart of NATO and the EU?

A nasty thug coming for the Élysée Palace?

En garde!
