It’s easy to understand this guy’s frustration.
My only comment is that market-based climate solutions do not necessarily have to be gradual.
Once carbon-based products become relatively expensive, they’ll disappear fairly quickly.
It’s no secret that the United States is struggling with its anti-vaxxers.
I would like to say that they’re actually delightful people, intelligent and compassionate, and that it’s a shame they’re so badly misinformed.
But I can’t.
Most of them appear similar in every way to this not-so-charming woman.
Pro golfer Abraham Ancer is tied for first place in the Saint Jude Invitational as I write this post. Hard to root for him given the name on his hat.
I’m willing to bet that, in 10 years, no one will even consider being sponsored by the fossil fuel industry.
Republican Steve Scalise, after getting vaccinated for COVID-19, posted a disinformation video claiming, “Democrats have a history of vaccine misinformation and not trusting the science.”
It’s terrifying than an entire political party is basing its tactics on Nazi principles of conduct.
A friend who watches Fox News writes: (Tucker) Carlson had an interesting interview with the prime minister of Hungary last night. They have solved the immigration problem with closed borders. I do not think that makes them a despicable group of people.

As we’ve discussed many times, the real downer about the last four years is what we’ve been forced to learn about the ghastly character of many Americans.
Trump is horrifying, but, in many ways, his supporters are even worse.
In an effort to discredit Biden, a reader sent me the meme here.
The short answer, as shown below, is essentially the same as it was 15 years ago.
The longer and more interesting answer is that Biden has no capacity to affect the supply and demand market forces that determine the price of gasoline.
This is proof that there is hope for the United States. It’s easy to believe that a significant percentage of Americans will believe anything they come across that supports what they already believe, regardless of how inane. It is this phenomenon that gives us our anti-vaxxers, climate deniers, and stolen election believers. (more…)
