Driving around rural America one notices that Trump die-hards are perhaps even more enthused about him now than they were before the failed insurrection attempt at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th and the rest of the jaw-dropping stupidity that marked the entire period following the 2020 elections.

It’s possible that signs like the one shown here will be on display for years after Trump’s either in self-exile or in prison, and he’s no more relevant to our politics than the deputy major of Buzzard’s Breath, Arkansas.

Please note that this is a conversation we’ve been having more or less continuously for almost 50 years, and the fundamental issues aren’t improving for hydrogen.  It’s still inefficient, it still has a very limited delivery infrastructure, and batteries keep getting better and less expensive.

Might be time to say goodbye.

Well, the obvious first answer is criminally prosecuting Trump.

But then, how about promoting:

Climate change mitigation

Preservation of biodiversity

Protecting the rainforests

Social justice

Reduction in wealth inequality

Medicare for all

Science in policy-making

Quality public education

World peace

Amnesty International

A reader in the “Land Down Under” asks, “Hello communist Fakebook Giggle Amizin and rotten appole. That was an interesting play on abolishing Parler. How is that even legal?!?!?!!!!”
Jane: I can explain, as you’re Australian, and your country may work differently than ours. In the U.S., individuals and private companies have the right to refuse to be used as platforms to promote white supremacy, malicious lies, and hate speech.  Even more to the point is their right not to be a part of insurrection, murder, and treason.
I would have to think that Australia has something similar, but I honestly don’t know.

This amazing drawing by Italian impressionist Maurizio Rega reminded me that someone wrote recently, “Ignorance is mocking vegetarians while at the same time crying over vanishing rainforests.”

First of all, the only people who ridicule vegetarians are ass****s, but it’s hard to imagine that this really applies to anyone.  How likely is it that someone so degraded would care about the health of the ecosphere?

Shown here: Derrick Evans resigns W.Va. House after entering U.S. Capitol with mob

The good people of West Virginia, bless their hearts, must be asking themselves which is worse: being led by a criminal traitor, or by someone dumb enough to video himself committing treason and posting it online?

Yes, it’s a wonderful journey.  For the masses of gullible morons, it’s full of guns, bombs, gallows, criminal trespass, vandalism, theft, assault, battery, murder, treason, and long prison terms.

For it’s leader, it’s chock full of obstruction, incitement to insurrection, treason, and, you guessed it, an even longer prison term.

Onward!

I wish this were an original thought of mine, but it isn’t.

Who doesn’t want this to happen?  We’ll have a built-in reminder of this amazing event into American history, and a warning to all future wanna-be dictators.

Obviously, Donald Trump is at the top of the list of the world’s most reviled people, but if there were a contest for the #2 position, Lindsey Graham would have an excellent shot.  A man with no personal integrity whatsoever, Graham simply shifts in the breeze according to whatever position seems at the time to forward his wealth and power. A reader notes: Real patriots know how to spell and construct sentences.

Ha! Good point.

Funnier still is this boob’s threat to take on the 1.3 million members of U.S. law enforcement, assisted as necessary by 1.1 million active-duty members of the military and their $750 billion budget.

Talk about high TV ratings.  Lots of people all over the world on couches, munching popcorn.
