Renewable Energy – Facts and Fantasies — The Movie Version I Wish I’d Made

From time to time, I’ve wondered what a movie version of Renewable Energy – Facts and Fantasies would look like. Well, I don’t have to wonder anymore. It’s been made. And it’s in theaters now. Check out CarbonNation.

It’s really as if I had written the script for every single participant in the film. There are lines like:

“It doesn’t matter whether or not you believe in global warming, as there are half a dozen other reasons to end our dependency on fossil fuels.”

“I see a full, robust economy built squarely on the transition to clean energy.”

“It’s the single most patriotic thing you can do.”

Holy smokes, that sure does sound familiar! And these guys do SUCH a good job. They even have James Woolsey, ex-CIA Director, who did such a terrific presentation in my book’s chapter on national security; he makes an even better impact on camera. “It’s a terrifically difficult, high-tech operation,” he quips, casually plugging in his car, as the camera pans to his bumper-sticker that reads: “Osama bin Laden Hates This Car.”

Great job, guys.
