The Basic Renewable Energy Technologies

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgKgc_Oo1fI]As part of my series of basic videos for newcomers on the main renewable energy technologies, I lay out the basic forms of clean energy and say a few words about photovoltaics, solar thermal (aka concentrated solar power or CSP, biomass, hydrokinetics, and geothermal.

In Fact Solar has many forms including the PV electric and Thermal you mentioned. There is passive solar like shade, phantom solar like wasted energy in wall transformers used to make AC into DC and appliances in the ready state but not doing anything.
My favorite form of solar is photosynthesis in plants. They feed the entire world yet it’s ONLY 1% or less efficient. Plants and nature have it right. We don’t need mega tons of energy ,we just have to use it smart and efficient like simple plants.
