Tesla Model S – Green Auto Market Digest

I have to say that I love my colleague Jon Lesage’s Green Auto Market Digest.  He shows a profound understanding of the industry, and brings tons of unique and valuable insights that most people miss.

Here’s an article from the current edition that analyzes the recent success of Tesla Motors, as gauged by the impressive sales volume for the Model S.  I’m amused that, of the six reasons for the triumph here, “Great Product” is number five; I might have been tempted to move that closer to the top of the list and point out that the styling and performance of this car is simply knocking the socks off the car-buying public.  But I shouldn’t be too critical; Jon does gush with praise, noting:

Sit in a Model S and check out its double screen dashboard, connectivity and functionality, and feel its powerful torque once you press the pedal, and you’ll be very impressed. Consumer Reports just gave the Model S its highest rating, with 99 out of 100 points.
